Dates for Your Diary 2008

Sunday 18th May – CATFLAP  Bazaar & AGM

Pollokshields Burgh Hall, Maxwell Park, Glasgow from 11.30am to ca. 4.30pm.

Our first solo event of the year, with all the usual stalls in attendance : books, new goods, bric-a-brac, tombola, crafts, cake & candy, and the ever-popular tea-room. At this event, we will also have a stall selling photographic prints - cat related and otherwise - so here’s an ideal opportunity to perhaps pick up a present for someone, whilst at the same time helping Catflap.

All members are invited to the catflap Annual General Meeting, to take place immediately after the Bazaar. Entry is open to all paid-up members, but voting is restricted to paid-up members over the age of 18.

The draft agenda is as follows:

· Introduction of Charity officers.

· Minutes of previous AGM and matters arising.

· Annual financial report.

· Annual administrative report.

· AOCB, including any discussion items.

Saturday 14th June - Bearsden & Milngavie Highland Games

West of Scotland Rugby Ground

Catflap have again been invited to attend this annual event, and we will have a stall decked out with tombola, craft goods, home-made preserves etc. Opening times have still to be confirmed, but organisers usually like stallholders to be on site by 9am. We are also looking for helpers for this event - especially those with transport, and any donations of new goods which can be used for the tombola. If you can help in either or both of these areas, please contact Janice.

Saturday 14th June - Rouken Glen Park Gala

A new venue for Catflap, with details still to be confirmed. As above, new goods for tombola, hand-crafted items, and helpers with transport all gratefully received! Please contact Annie or Sheila if you are able to help with these.

Although Catflap’s programme of fund-raising events does not begin until the Spring, we use this time to prepare. That means that we are in need of jamjars (up to 1lb size) for preserves; new goods for tombola or raffle prizes (a perfect way to recycle any unwanted Xmas presents!), and any new fabric etc (preferably cat themed) which can be turned into craft goods for sale. Contact Sheila or any other trustee if you can help.

If you are able to help out at any of these events, then please contact Sheila on

0141 423 3246.

We are always interested in finding new venues for holding our events. If you

know of any halls etc which you feel may be suitable, then please pass details on to Sheila, or any of the other trustees.
